Caroline Gardner Cards

Reaping the benefits of the Stationery Show! Today's arrival: cards from one of my all time favorite card artists- Caroline Gardner.

Her style is the perfect blend of sophisticated, cute, bubbly, serene and her great typography and sketchy imagery is skilled and artistically executed.

This British artist has a unique style that is often imitated, but never duplicated. We have carried her photo albums in the past and now her cards remain a top seller.

Most of the cards incorporate multiple press runs; 4 color printing, engraving and embossing.
A great recession booster, prices have come down over the years and at $5.50 it's a far spread from the $7.00 years ago.

2010 National Stationery Show

Whew!! BUSY week!! Back from power shopping the National Stationery Show and wanted to share an insiders glimpse...

While the show was much smaller than years past- still lots of talent to be had!! Can not wait for the new cards to float in and lots of other goodies too!

Pen Pals

Fun visit today at On Paper from pen pals Lauren and Leanne.... Lauren lives in Columbus and Leanne in Canada. These two gals met over the internet on a photography forum. Over time as their friendship blossomed, they graduated from internet pals to pen pals- sharing their love of stationery and writing through pen pal letters.

The two were as enchanted with the shop as we were with them! How great to see two young women passionate about communication, friendship and keeping the art of letter writing alive! Thanks for visiting ladies!!

Buying Trip!

It's Showtime!! Heading to NY for the annual National Stationery Show. Sooo much to see, soooo little time! It's sure to be an intensive three days of non stop buying decisions selecting from non stop talent!

Top of my list of must haves: moderately priced wedding invitations, great and amazing greeting cards, especially birthday, stand out letterpress stationery and cream of the crop Christmas cards. Always challenging as the thermometer rises to 80 and I'm thinking Frosty the Snowman. ;)
