Sneak peak Anthropologie's Wedding Line
Can not wait to see the new wedding website by none other than our very fave store (except our own, of course) ;) Anthropologie. Chilly Day @ Igloo Letterpress Warms Hearts
A rather belated post...
On a cold mid January day the On Paper team celebrated the holidays and headed north to Igloo Letterpress in Worthington. Our letterpress party was headed up by non other than Ms. Allison Chapman- proprietor and press professor.
We actually planned ahead and decided to create a poster- a collaborative creation based on words of inspiration for the new year surrounded by fancy lace and ribbons.
Joe Immen, our Graphic Designer created all the artwork, which was then sent off to be made in to polymer press plates.
Allison gave a brief introduction, careful instructions, and put us to work!
Roll the press... Michelle cranked out the first color run, followed by Emily and Joe
Handmixing the inks
With two layers complete, the press is registered to set the type
We each tossed words in to a hat and randomly selected our text to be hand set in vintage wood block type. Makes any typophile swoon!!
And four hours later- voila! Poster perfection!
